The Council of Ministers submitted to the parliament a bill introducing the Law on Hydrocarbon Tax (Ustawa o podatku węglowodorowym), the amendments to the Law on Mineral Extraction Tax (Ustawa o podatku od wydobycia niektórych kopalin) and a few other laws (the Bill). For previous reporting, see Poland-1, News 25 June 2013.

In the first reading on 7 May 2014, the parliament did not reach consensus; consequently, the Bill was sent to the parliamentary subcommittees for further discussion and respective adjustments.
